We have been collaborating with Redbull since XXX, and last January we got involved in organizing the launch event for Salmo’s new album "Hellvisback". We often setup exhibitions and organize events, but this time it was a completely different type of work: we wanted to give the public a journey into the musician’ universe, a dynamic path that combined real experience and fantastic suggestions.
Inspired by Elvis Presley, Hellvisback is immersed in an atmosphere that is suspended between thrilling, comic strip carton and goth. It’s precisely the universe of the album itself that we wanted to give life to, through the style and the setup of animation and the design of experience.
We took inspiration from the king of rock’s passion for hotels: for this we chose, as the location, the Nhow Hotel in Via Tortona, and turned into an 8 room full road-thriller. A funeral parlor, a maniac’s hideout, the alcove of a melancholy star, the room of a groupie, a museum of mysterious masks and a control room: each room is an animated clue, populated by characters that entertain and involve the viewer into the mysterious world of the masked rapper and the secrets of his music.
We selected a small number of Salmo-followers, gave them an appointment for an exclusive tour of the world of Hellvisback, keeping them in suspense right through to the last door, the one to the suite, where it all culminated in a very private broadcast in live streaming of Salmo, because music could be a mystery, but big stories are for all.
