Expo City Events
A passport for the city: this is what we have created working on the 2015 Expo City Events Guide.
On the occasion of the 2015 Universal Exposition, Italian publisher Mondadori decided to release an exclusive programme of all the unmissable events in Milan from May to October. Five different issues, each one presenting and mapping a thematic itinerary dedicated to the best of "Made in Italy". We developed a common visual grammar, highly customizable and easily recognizable. Through a characterized and responsive typographic treatment, a color that hits the eye and a marked and recurring graphic strutter, we developed a common visual grammar, highly customizable and easily recognizable. We then explored a different illustration technique for each issue: collage for Fashion, 3d for Design, free-hand drawing for Food and pictorial style for the Culture and Innovation issue. Electa has published over 300,000 copies and distributed them in over 110 places around the city. Our yellow guide quickly went viral, containing the very best of this great year for the city.
