Inspiring Cities

COIMA 50th Anniversary Event

To mark its 50th anniversary, COIMA entrusted us with the creation of a comprehensive event and a commemorative book, both aimed at exploring the future of cities as spaces for community and innovation.

COIMA is a leading company in real estate management, development, and investment, with a long-standing commitment to urban transformation and sustainable growth. Based in Milan, COIMA has played a pivotal role in redeveloping key metropolitan areas, such as Porta Nuova, and continues to drive projects that merge innovation, sustainability, and quality of life.

This ambitious initiative saw our studio conceptualize and execute a unique event, meticulously crafted in every detail. From designing the visual identity and exhibition setup to developing engaging multimedia content, the event examined the multifaceted vision of tomorrow’s cities, focusing on inclusivity and sustainability.

A core feature of the project was the production of exclusive interviews with internationally renowned architects who have contributed to COIMA’s vision over the years. These interviews provided enriched narratives and unique perspectives on the future of urban planning and design.

Paolo Asti, Petra Blaisse, Stefano Boeri, Paolo Caputo, Christopher Choa, Antonio Citterio & Patricia Viel, Mario Cucinella, Michele De Lucchi, Elizabeth Diller, Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Gino Garbellini, Gregg Jones, Andreas Kipar, James von Klemperer, Colin Koop, William McDounough, Jorge Munoz & Enrique Albin, Pierluigi Nicolin, Kim Herforth NIelsen, Fabio Novembre, Matteo Paloschi & Matteo Tartufoli, Lee Polisano, Carlo Ratti, Michele Rossi, Alessandro Scandurra, Kjetil Traedal Thorsen, Cino Zucchi.

To complement the project, we created the Inspiring Cities book, curated by Fulvio Irace and published by Skira, featuring exceptional visual contributions from photographers Gabriele Basilico and Iwan Baan. This volume not only documents the celebratory journey but also serves as a source of inspiration, inviting further reflection on the role of cities as hubs of social and cultural progress.
